The government has acquired 600 acres at Yerramanchi, Amavarupalle and Guttur villages in Penukonda mandal through the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) for the project

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu instructed Anantapur district Collector G. Veerapandian to give quick clearances to the Kia Motors’ manufacturing plant and create requisite infrastructure in the project site. Mr. Naidu is going to participate in the Bhoomi pujan program as early as possible and make efforts to see the project starts on schedule.
